Roasted pineapple syrup

1. Cut the pineapple into circles about 1 cm thick (0,4 inch)

2. In a frying pan, roast the pineapple on medium heat until you get a nice burnt pineapple

3. Combine sugar and water in a saucepan and set to simmer until all sugar has dissolved

4. Add the pineapple to the simple syrup and let sit for at least 4 hours up to a day

5. Strain and store in the fridge
